• On the 8th April 2008, Bureau Veritas Brazil completed with success the 100% acquisition of the laboratories Analytical Solutions S/A. Following the acquisition of the chilean group CESMEC in February, this comes as a continuation of Bureau Veritas' expansion in Latin America. Bureau Veritas is an international group specialised in the inspection, analysis, audit and certification of products, infrastructure and management systems and the world´s largest group in conformity assessement and certification services in the fields of quality, health and safety, environment and social responsibility (QHSE). The Group is also the world´s leader in QHSE services.

• Analytical Solutions expands its Rio de Janeiro laboratory through the acquisition of more modern and spacious facilities in Barra da Tijuca, which accomodate 1.920m2 of laboratory infrastructure.

• Analytical Solutions acquired - through a significant investment - a second and more advanced HR-GC/MS, a high-resolution mass spectrometer that is capable of detecting parts per quadrillion (ppq). The new equipment will optmize the dioxin analyses in atmosphere emissions control.

• Analytical Solutions was present sucessfully as an exhibitor at FIMAI 2007, The International Industrial Environment Fair, which occured in October 2007.

• Analytical Solutions opened its new laboratory in Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais focusing in microbiological and physical-chemical analysis in a wide variety of sectors: agribusiness, petroleum services, environmental analysis, occupational health and industry.

• Analytical Solutions joined the Global Feed & Food Congress 2007 - International Event on Sustainability and Food Safety. The congress will take place on the 16th, 17th and 18th of April in São Paulo.

• Another important accreditation for the São Paulo facility from INMETRO for metals analysis (RBLE No. CRL 0241).

• Analytical Solutions inaugurates a new laboratory facility in Natal in Rio Grande do Norte.

• Analytical Solutions offers new and sophisticated analysis to the market – Fractioned TPH – developed in partnership with the Research and Productivity Centre of Canada.

• ISO/IEC 17025 INMETRO accreditation approved by INMETRO for metal testing at the São Paulo facility of Analytical Solutions.

• Agreement with Essencis increases the scope of analysis of Analytical Solutions in São Paulo.

• New investments increase the production capacity of Analytical Solutions in the agribusiness area.

• Investments in the inorganics laboratory of Analytical Solutions in São Paulo will duplicate analysis capacity.

• New system of Analytical Solutions for analysis of residues in antibiotics in tissue: UPLC system.

• Analytical Solutions participates in the action plan of the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Supply (MAPA) to meet European requirements for export.
